Thank You for a Great Year!
This week is our last week of regular classes before we switch over to summer camp mode. We would like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all the families who showed up to do art during the school year and supported our mission of bringing the joy of art and creativity into the lives of not only the children, but the adults too. We also wanted to thank you for spreading the word about our lovely little spot to other families. Your endorsement and word-of-mouth sharing was so encouraging and enabled us to keep going forward!
We have seen so much growth in our regularly attending students, from refining already amazing skills in the kids who are confident creators, to watching more reluctant students try new things and explore new ideas and grow in their creativity and self-expression. We were also so glad to meet those of you who popped in for one or two days of creative fun.
Art is not just about creativity- it is about connecting with others, trying new things, making mistakes into "beautiful oops", perseverance and critical thinking. We like to think of our studio as a workout for that side of our brains that is all too often underused and in danger of atrophy!
So again, THANK YOU to all of you and we hope to see you again soon!
Summer Camp Update
A few more afternoon camps are still available, so check our Summer Camp page for which weeks still have room. We will keep registration open all summer and post availability for upcomming weeks just in case you have a change of plans over the summer or find that those summer days are dragging on too much and the kids want to get out and have some creative fun with us!
If you have registered, please know that your payment is due by Tuesday May 29. If you have questions about your balance, please let us know. Also, if you need to cancel a week of camp, no refunds will be given after June 1, so if you have had a change of plans about your attendance, please contact us by then.
June Events
We will be open two Saturdays in June for our non-campers to come and visit us.
On June 2 from 10-12 we will be having a FREE Open Studio as a thank you to the community. All ages are welcome and art project supplies are available until they run out! No registration is necessary (this is not a drop-off event).
On Saturday June 16 we will have a Father's Day Open Studio from 3-5. The cost is $15 for the first child, $5 for every other child. This is not a drop off event, but is a great way to spend some time with dad or grandpa, or come in with another family member and make a secret gift to give on Sunday! No registration is necessary, however, we will have limited supplies for you to make your special Father's Day arts and crafts, so come early!
Birthday Parties
We will only be available on Saturdays during the summer for birthday parties. Please check the calendar to see if the date you would like is available!
Fall Line-Up
We already are getting questions about registration for the fall! We will be publishing our line-up of classes in July, so subscribe to our newsletter/blog or to our Facebook page to find out when those will be posted.
